About the video mockup

Watch-page mockups are useful anywhere you need to show a video without embedding it — a pitch deck, a case study, a portfolio, a “what if this went viral” slide, or a screen in a film. You control every number, so the page can show a launch-day video or a million-view hit.

Who it’s for

Agencies building case studies, creators pitching sponsors, and film or TV teams who need an invented video page on screen.

What makes it different

  • Pick the player frame straight from your video file — scrub to the exact moment with a slider.
  • Desktop watch page with suggested videos, or the mobile layout.
  • Paste an image with Ctrl/⌘+V instead of saving and uploading it.
  • Every number is yours to set, so you can show launch day or a million views.

How to make a YouTube video mockup

  1. 1Upload a frame from your video (or a thumbnail) for the player.
  2. 2Type the title, channel name, subscribers, views, likes and upload date.
  3. 3Write a short description; the first lines show in the grey box under the title.
  4. 4Choose desktop or mobile layout and light or dark mode.
  5. 5Download the page as a PNG.

Common use cases

Case studies
Show a client’s video results in a slide without screen-recording the real page.
Pitches
Mock up how a sponsored video or launch video will appear before it’s made.
Film and TV
Create an invented video page for a scene, with fictional channels and numbers.

Tips

  • Use a frame with a clear subject — a frozen mid-sentence face looks odd in a player.
  • Keep views and likes plausible for the channel size; likes are usually a small fraction of views.
  • For slides, light mode prints and projects better; dark mode looks more natural in videos.

Use it responsibly. Mockups are for design, planning, teaching and fiction. Don’t present them as real screenshots, don’t impersonate real creators, and never use invented numbers to mislead sponsors, buyers or viewers. Read our acceptable use policy.

Video Mockup FAQ

Is this a real YouTube page?

No. It’s an image that recreates the general layout of a watch page. It doesn’t use official logos and isn’t affiliated with YouTube.

Can I show a real creator’s video?

Use your own videos or invented ones. Don’t make mockups that put words or numbers on a real person’s channel that could mislead people.

What resolution is the export?

The PNG is exported at twice the on-screen size, which is sharp enough for slides and 1080p video.
