About the channel mockup

Banners and avatars are usually designed separately and only seen together once they’re live — which is when you notice the banner text sits behind the profile picture on desktop, or that the colours clash. This mockup lets you test the full set first, pitch a rebrand to a client, or make a realistic channel page for a video, presentation or film.

Who it’s for

Creators planning a rebrand, designers pitching channel art to clients, and teachers or filmmakers who need a realistic channel page.

What makes it different

  • Banner, avatar and video grid together, so you see how they work as a set rather than one at a time.
  • Drop up to eight thumbnails at once and they fill the grid in order.
  • Subscriber and video counts formatted the way YouTube shows them.
  • No account connection: everything is typed and uploaded by you, so nothing private leaks into the image.

How to make a YouTube channel mockup

  1. 1Upload a banner (2560×1440 works best) and a profile picture, or keep the generated placeholders.
  2. 2Type the channel name, handle, subscriber and video counts, and a short description.
  3. 3Add video titles, one per line, and optionally upload thumbnails for them.
  4. 4Switch between light and dark mode, then download the page as a PNG.

Common use cases

Rebrands
Try a new banner, avatar and colour scheme together before updating a live channel.
Client pitches
Show a creator what their channel could look like with a new identity.
Presentations and film
Make an invented channel page for a slide, a mock interface or a scene.

Tips

  • Desktop shows only a thin strip across the middle of the banner — keep text inside the central safe area.
  • Make sure the avatar is readable at small sizes; it’s shown much smaller next to every video.
  • Use the same colours in the banner and in your thumbnails so the grid looks like one channel.

Use it responsibly. Mockups are for design, planning, teaching and fiction. Don’t present them as real screenshots, don’t impersonate real creators, and never use invented numbers to mislead sponsors, buyers or viewers. Read our acceptable use policy.

Channel Mockup FAQ

What banner size should I use?

2560×1440 pixels, at least 2048×1152, under 6 MB. Desktop crops it to a wide strip, so keep important content in the central 1235×338 area. The YouTube Banner Maker has guides for this.

Is this affiliated with YouTube?

No. It’s an independent mockup that recreates the general layout of a channel page, without official logos.

Can I use it for a channel that isn’t mine?

Use invented channels or your own. Don’t create mockups that impersonate a real creator or could be passed off as real.
