Cookies we use today

Mocknex doesn’t set advertising cookies. It uses these cookies:

• _ga and _ga_<id> — set by Google Analytics to count visits and tell new visitors from returning ones. They expire after up to two years. See the Analytics section below.
• googtrans — set only if you choose a language other than English in the language menu. It remembers your choice and tells Google’s website translator which language to show. When it’s set, the page loads Google’s translation script, and Google receives the page text to translate it (the editor and your mockups are excluded). Choosing English again removes the cookie and stops the script loading.

Browser storage (not cookies)

The editors keep your work on your device using your browser’s local storage and IndexedDB. None of it is sent to us:

• Autosaved drafts, saved projects, views and checkpoints
• Your recent exports, so you can download them again
• Saved characters (names and photos you reuse)
• Your light/dark theme preference

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used. It records the pages you visit, your browser and device type, your approximate location and actions such as “export clicked” or the name of the tool used. It never receives the content of your mockups — no message text, names or images. You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings, a content blocker, or Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

If ads are introduced, the ad provider may use cookies to measure and personalise ads. We’ll ask for consent where required and update this page first.

Managing storage

You can delete projects and exports from the Projects and Exports panels in the editor, start over with “New project”, or remove everything by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. See also our Privacy Policy.
