Social Media Carousel Maker
Design multi-slide carousels for Instagram and LinkedIn — tutorials, tips, insights, case studies and launches — in an editor that runs entirely in your browser. Start from a template or paste a post you’ve already written, then export numbered PNGs or a PDF.
Good carousels feel like one piece: the same headline position, the same colours, a cover that makes a promise and an ending that pays it off. This editor is built around that. Colours and fonts are shared across slides, slide numbers update themselves, and a quality check flags text that won’t fit, slides that are too crowded and colours that are hard to read — before you post, not after.
- Free, no sign-up, no watermark
- Runs and saves in your browser
- PNG, ZIP and PDF export
What you can do
Turn a long post into slides
Paste a post, article or list. Headings, numbered steps, bullet points, quotes and a closing call to action are detected, and you get an editable outline before any slide is made. It’s rule-based — no AI — so your wording stays exactly as you wrote it.
A real design editor
Every slide is made of separate text, image and shape elements. Drag, resize and rotate with snapping guides, edit text in place, align and distribute, reorder layers, and copy elements between slides. Undo and redo cover everything.
One look across every slide
Ten design systems, from minimal editorial to dark cinematic. Colours and fonts are shared tokens, so changing your brand colour updates every slide. Slide numbers and progress bars are worked out from each slide’s position, so they never go stale.
Quality checks before you post
Finds text that overflows its box or the slide, very small text, low contrast, overlapping elements, crowded slides, inconsistent headlines, missing images and fonts — each with an explanation and an optional fix.
Brand kit, no account
Set your colours, heading and body fonts, logo and handle once, save them as a brand kit in this browser, and apply them to any future carousel.
Exports that match the canvas
Download one slide as a PNG, every slide as numbered PNGs in a ZIP, or a PDF with one page per slide for LinkedIn document posts — at the exact canvas size or double resolution.
How to make a carousel post
- 1Choose a starting point: a template, a blank carousel, or “Turn text into slides” to paste a post you’ve already written.
- 2Pick the format — Instagram portrait or square, a LinkedIn document page, a presentation slide, or your own size.
- 3Edit each slide. Double-click text to change it, drag elements into place, and use Layouts to try other compositions with the same content.
- 4Add your brand: colours, fonts, a logo and your handle. Turn on slide numbers or a progress bar.
- 5Open Checks and fix anything flagged — text that doesn’t fit, low contrast, or crowded slides.
- 6Preview the carousel slide by slide, then export a ZIP of PNGs for Instagram or a PDF for LinkedIn.
Turn a long post into a carousel
Already wrote the post? Paste it into the converter and choose a structure. The first heading or a short first sentence becomes the cover, numbered lists become steps, bullet points become tip slides or lists, and a closing “In short: …” becomes a summary. Long paragraphs are split only between sentences, and you can set an exact number of slides.
You see the outline first and can edit headlines, merge or split slides and reorder them. When the text doesn’t fit a structure — say, myth-versus-fact without “Myth:” and “Fact:” lines — it tells you what to add instead of making something up. Structures include:
- Problem → solution — opening paragraphs set up the problem; the rest solves it
- Step-by-step tutorial — each list item becomes a numbered step
- List of tips — one tip per slide
- Myth vs fact — write lines as “Myth: …” and “Fact: …”
- Before and after — write lines as “Before: …” and “After: …”
- Mistakes to avoid — list items become mistakes; “Instead: …” adds the fix
- Educational explainer — headings become section labels, ends with a summary
- Case study — uses headings such as Challenge, Approach and Results
- Product or service intro — name, what it does, features, call to action
- Storytelling sequence — one beat of the story per slide
- LinkedIn insights — each paragraph becomes a numbered insight
- Instagram save-worthy tips — punchy tips with a save reminder at the end
24 templates in 10 design systems
Every template is a complete example with original sample text — no invented statistics or quotes. Where a real figure belongs, the slide says so. Any template can be switched to another design system without losing its content.

Canvas sizes and export formats
| Preset | Pixels | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram portrait | 1080 × 1350 | 4:5 — takes the most space in the feed |
| Instagram square | 1080 × 1080 | 1:1 — the classic carousel shape |
| LinkedIn square | 1080 × 1080 | 1:1 image post or document page |
| LinkedIn document (4:5) | 1080 × 1350 | Upload the PDF as a document post (PDF) |
| LinkedIn document (A4 ratio) | 1240 × 1754 | Report-style pages, exported as PDF (PDF) |
| Story / vertical | 1080 × 1920 | 9:16 — stories and vertical slides |
| Presentation | 1920 × 1080 | 16:9 — talks, lessons and webinars (PDF) |
Custom sizes from 320 to 4000 pixels per side are supported. Changing size never crops anything: elements are scaled or re-centred, and you can keep the original as a separate project.

Carousel design tips
- Make the cover do one job: say what the reader gets. A short headline beats a clever one.
- Keep one idea per slide. If a slide needs more than about 40 words, split it.
- Use the same headline size and position on every content slide so the carousel reads as one piece.
- End with a summary or a clear next step — save, comment, or visit a link — not just “thanks”.
- Check text size on your phone. Body text below about 24px on a 1080px slide is hard to read in a feed.
- For LinkedIn document posts, upload the PDF; for Instagram, upload the PNGs from the ZIP in order.
What it doesn’t do: it doesn’t post to your accounts, write content for you, animate slides or use web fonts. Checks are practical rules, not a guarantee of accessibility. Only use images, logos and quotes you have the rights to, and keep facts accurate — see our acceptable use policy.

Carousel maker FAQ
Is the carousel maker free?
Yes. Templates, editing and every export — PNG, ZIP and PDF — are free, with no account and no watermark.
Are my designs uploaded anywhere?
No. Editing and exporting happen in your browser. Projects and images are saved in this browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) and are never sent to a server.
What size should an Instagram carousel be?
1080 × 1350 (4:5 portrait) takes the most space in the feed; 1080 × 1080 (square) is the classic option. All slides in one Instagram carousel use the same shape, which this editor keeps for you.
How do I make a LinkedIn carousel?
Choose a LinkedIn document size, design your slides, then export a PDF. On LinkedIn, create a post and add it as a document — readers swipe through the pages. You can also post square images instead.
Does the text-to-carousel converter use AI?
No. It uses fixed rules: it recognises headings, lists, quotes, summaries and calls to action, splits text only between sentences, and never adds facts or claims. You review and edit the outline before slides are made.
Can I use my own fonts and logo?
You can upload a logo and choose from fonts available on your device plus Figtree. Custom font files and web font services aren’t used. If a chosen font isn’t installed, Checks tells you and a similar font is drawn — the same one that’s exported.
Will I lose my work if I close the tab?
Projects save automatically in this browser, and you can reopen them from Projects. Clearing site data or browsing privately can remove them, so save a JSON project file for anything important.
Can I post directly to Instagram or LinkedIn from here?
No. Export the files and upload them in the app as usual. Nothing connects to your social accounts.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On small screens the editor switches to Design, Canvas, Properties and Checks views, and you can drag elements with your finger. Large 2× exports are faster on a computer.
