Fake Notification Generator

Create push notifications for any app — name, icon colour, title, message and time — on an iPhone or Android screen, as a banner or on the lock screen.

Notifications are tiny pieces of copy with a lot riding on them. Product teams mock them up to test wording and length, marketers to present re-engagement campaigns, filmmakers for the shot where a message lights up a phone on the table. This generator uses generic app tiles (a colour and a simple glyph) rather than real logos, and gives you both iPhone and Android layouts with stacked notification groups.

  • Free, no sign-up
  • Runs in your browser

Tips for a more convincing Notification mockup

  • iPhone shows about four lines of body text before truncating; Android about three.
  • Put the key information in the first 40 characters.
  • Use a sender photo for messaging notifications — it's how modern iPhones show them.
  • “now” as the time makes a banner feel like it just arrived.
  • For your own app, set the tile to your brand colour and choose the closest glyph.

Use it responsibly. Mockups are for entertainment, education, design and storytelling. Don’t present them as real conversations, don’t impersonate real people, and never use them as evidence or to deceive anyone. Read our acceptable use policy.
