Fake iMessage Generator
Create an iPhone text conversation with blue iMessage bubbles, reactions and “Delivered” or “Read” under your last message — then export at real iPhone resolution.
iMessage screenshots are judged on small things: the rounded tail on the last bubble in a run, the contact's photo centred at the top with a chevron, timestamps only in date separators, and the single receipt under the newest outgoing message. This generator follows those conventions and lets you flip any conversation to green SMS bubbles to show a non-iMessage contact — handy for “green bubble” jokes and for story beats where a message doesn't deliver.

How to make a fake iMessage conversation
- 1Enter the contact's name — it appears under their photo at the top, just like on an iPhone.
- 2Upload a contact photo or keep the initials circle.
- 3Write the messages. Your messages are blue and on the right; theirs are grey on the left.
- 4Add a date separator such as “Today 9:41 AM” where you want the time to show.
- 5On your latest message, set Receipt to Delivered or Read and give it a time to show “Read 9:41 AM”.
- 6Switch Style to “SMS (green bubbles)” if the contact should look like a non-iPhone user.
- 7Download as PNG at 3× for a full-size iPhone screenshot.

Common use cases
- Texting scenes for film
- Design an insert shot or on-screen text overlay that matches a character's iPhone.
- Comedy and meme formats
- Recreate classic “texting my mum” or autocorrect-fail formats with your own writing.
- Marketing mockups
- Show how an SMS campaign or appointment reminder reads on an iPhone.
- Classroom examples
- Illustrate text-message etiquette or phishing warning signs with fictional chats.
Tips for a more convincing iMessage mockup
- iPhone Messages groups messages sent close together. Put a date separator only where an hour or more passes.
- Keep reactions sparse — one or two tapbacks in a screenshot reads as real, ten reads as staged.
- Use the unread badge on the back button (Unread count) to add a lived-in feel.
- For a “left on read” moment, end with your message and set it to Read with a time.
- If you plan to overlay the chat on video, export with the Phone screenshot preset and a transparent background.
Use it responsibly. Mockups are for entertainment, education, design and storytelling. Don’t present them as real conversations, don’t impersonate real people, and never use them as evidence or to deceive anyone. Read our acceptable use policy.
